Chocolate gifts from Prague: sweet ideas for Christmas
Published
Christmas in Prague smells of mulled wine, cinnamon and — if you know where to go — chocolate. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone at home or a souvenir to take back from your trip, here are a few sweet ideas from the Choco-Story Chocolate Museum, a few steps from Old Town Square.
1. An experience instead of a thing: the gift card
A Choco-Story gift card is a visit through seven rooms on the story of cocoa, ending with a tasting of up to five kinds of Belgian chocolate. You buy it online in a few minutes, and the recipient picks the day of their visit.
2. For little (and big) chocolatiers: the workshop
With the museum & workshop gift card, they also make and decorate their own chocolate bars with our chocolatiers — and take them home. The workshop is for ages 4 and up, which makes it a great gift for the whole family.
3. Belgian chocolates from the shop
Our chocolate shop at Celetná 10 sells fine Belgian chocolates and pralines, chocolates with Prague motifs and other sweet souvenirs. It is open to everyone, every day until 22:30 (Friday to Sunday until 23:00) — handy for last-minute shopping after a walk through the Christmas markets.
4. A recipe to share
Not every gift has to be bought. Make our Belgian hot chocolate for the people you love — or, for the adventurous, the spicy xocolatl of the Aztecs.
Coming to Prague this winter?
The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, two minutes from Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. After the Christmas market, come in to warm up — you can book your tickets online.
