Beginnings

Entrance to the jungle takes you to the times of Mayans and Aztecs who first started to use cocoa beans. Thank to the overseas discoveries and sailor Cortez cocoa had been spread all over Europe.

Cocoa plant

Cocoa plant grows on plantations deep in jungle, and is protected by other trees from direct sunlight. Each plant has around 1000 flowers and fruits twice a year.

Modern history

Sweet cocoa drink became fashionable event on the royal courts. The revolution in history of the chocolate unleashed van Houten, who invented a chocolate bar.

Production

Our chocolatiers will show you how the real belgian praline is made in three steps. They’ll give you a taste of a fresh praline.

Wrapings and forms

Oldest forms were made of silver, today they are made from polycarbonate. Mr. Stanislav Krámský lend us the part of the largest collections of chocolate wrapings in Europe.
